Physiotherapy

If you are suffering from any aches and pains or injuries (old or new) which are interfering in your day to day life, I may be able to help. I have experience in treating a wide variety of problems, including neck pain, back pain, joint and/or muscle pains, which may be causing problems with day to day function such as walking, household tasks, work related tasks, sports and hobbies. If you are recovering from an injury, have had recent surgery or have suffered in a road traffic accident, physiotherapy can help to enable a speedy and efficient recovery.

Your first appointment would include a full assessment to get a good grasp of the situation and any appropriate treatment options would then be discussed. I am trained in various ‘hands on’ techniques (eg massage, joint mobilisations, acupuncture) as well as giving advice on best management of your symptoms/problems and prescribing an exercise program specifically designed for you and your current requirements.

As a physiotherapist I am also trained to look out for certain symptoms that may require a different health professional to see you. If this is picked up during assessment, this would be discussed with you and a referral made (usually to or through your GP).
